Project Band: Big Sound, Community Heart

Project Band is a community band of around 20 musicians led by industry veteran Simon Currie, the saxophonist from The Manfreds (formerly Manfred Mann)

The band consists of a full rhythm and large horn section, and plays a vibrant mix of pop, soul, funk and jazz classics.

From its roots as a project to give developing musicians the opportunity to play in a band run by experienced professionals, Project Band has quickly grown to become an established performer at festivals and community events.

As well as offering a varied and entertaining musical repertoire, Project Band has developed a strong reputation at these events for its good time vibe and professional reliability.

Testimonials

Project Band performed at Tilehurst British Legion Club for a Christmas Party.  The comments from the sell out crowd and seeing a full dance floor were testament to their abilities and entertainment value.  We like the fact that their performances often attract new amateur band members too, which is such a great way for local people to build experience and confidence.  We certainly look forward to seeing them perform again soon and have no hesitation in recommending them for other paid or community events.
